Ian comes from a slightly larger small town in Saskatchewan than Amber, his fearless team leader. He met CCO at the University of Saskatchewan while completing his B.Sc.(Kin). Very quickly he was inspired by the vision of CCO raising up young leaders in the Church for the renewal of the world and drawing students to Christ. Upon completing his degree with three mission projects and two years on the student executive for CCO behind him, he joined CCO staff in the fall of 2010 and is very excited to be serving at UBC. In addition to a love for Jesus, he loves meeting new people, physical activity and, you guessed it, food.
Amber Zolc . Team Leader
Amber grew up in small town Saskatchewan. She was introduced to CCO as a student at the University of Regina. In 2002, Amber participated in CCO’s Impact Canada project in Ottawa and Toronto for World Youth Day. Over that summer Amber grew in her love of the Catholic faith and heard the call to serve in full time ministry. In the fall of 2003 Amber moved to Vancouver to participate in the first Vancouver VINE year. She has continued to serve the students of Vancouver at SFU, Douglas College, Capilano College and she now serves as the team leader at the University of British Columbia.
